Lord, you’ve comforted my broken heart. You’ve offered direction when I needed it most. There were times I prayed and you showed me what not to do and what not to say, and it was exactly right.

Sometimes you say yes. At other times you say no, and only later do I understand that you saved me from myself.

Have I thanked you for answered prayers?

Rather than asking for anything, I just want to say thank you. I can’t list every answered prayer, but I can list many of them. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I lift up my hands, and I lift up your name in gratitude.

The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.
